What are Leadership Skills

To become a leader you must learn many skills such as communication skills, teamwork, having empathy for others, the ability to teach and mentor, to name a few. Leadership is not just one skill, it requires the development of a number of skills all working together to motivate others in order to complete tasks and reach goals.

• Leaders don't think of themselves as much as they do their team. They make sure that they are teaching and mentoring their team and bringing out the best in everyone.

• They have excellent Communications skills so that they may put their ideas forward effectively and resolve all conflicts.

• They must have excellent Critical Thinking skills and be good decision makers. This skill will help others to trust you and your ideas and know that it is safe to follow your decisions.

• You must be able to decide quickly with the information you have given to you. This usually comes with experience and having to make decisions daily in your job.

• Great leaders have a vision. They know what they want and can imagine the outcome. They are able to build teams and companies that can achieve the best results.
