Writing emails is one of the best methods of contact especially in a work or business setting.
When writing emails always be professional and follow the steps below:
1. Keep your subject line to under 50 characters so that the person receiving the email is more likely to open it.
2. Start the salutation by writing Dear and then the name of the person you are addressing. It could be first or last name depending on your relationship.
3. Make sure you use good grammar and proper spelling. Do not use abbreviations in a business/formal letter.
4. Stick to facts and use essential information and focus on what you want to say without using a lot of filler words.
5. Have a clear closing to your letter as to what you want them to do. For example, please advise, or get back to me by next week.
6. Use best regards which is the most common way to end a professional letter. Then sign off by typing your name.
