Soft Skills v Hard Skills

We need both soft skills and hard skills to navigate through life and to bring out our best qualities. Soft skills are personal habits that shape how you work on your own and with others. Hard skills are gained through education or from certain type of training to improve your knowledge.

Soft Skills

These skills are very important in the workplace. According to 92% of Human Resources professionals soft skills such as communication skills, stress and time management, leadership and empathy are more important than few hard skills.

Hard Skills

These skills are technical knowledge you have gained through taking classes, such as digital marketing, or studying a second language. Every job requires you to have hard skills, so if you want to be an engineer you must complete an engineering degree.

So which one of these skills is more important? All professionals require both these skills. Both set of skills harmonize together to bring about the best in an individual. Imagine if you are a teacher but are very impatient or a doctor but bad tempered!
