How to build mental resilience


There will definitely be times when you will face setbacks in your career and relationships. There will be difficult situations you have to overcome. To build strong mental resilience it is important to follow some healthy habits:


  1. To have a healthy mind you need a healthy body. Make sure you eat healthy and have regular exercise.

  2. You must get plenty of rest and have good sleeping habits. Sleep is the time the mind recharges itself and gets rid of toxic material.

  3. Find your purpose and meaning in life. What is the reason you get up every morning. We all have things that we like to do and goals we want to reach.

  4. Challenge yourself by reaching for demanding environments and doing well in them. Find opportunities for self-development and growth. Learn a new skill or take challenging courses.

  5. See the problems you face as temporary. Nothing lasts forever and the problem you have is usually short lived.

  6. Ask for help and get advice from those you admire. No one can do it alone, we all need support and encouragment at some points in our lives.


Remember mental resilience is a skill and with practice you can build mental toughness.
