Active Lifestyle


Maybe you don't want to go as far as being a gymnast but an active lifestyle is very important in order to keep your body and heart, lungs, and muscles conditioned.


  • It is easy to sit back and relax, watch TV, play video games and go on your phone whenever you have some free time. However, to feel our best and be ready to take on challenges we must keep our body as well as our minds active.

  • Activity helps with our mood. Regular exercise, even a 30-minute walk in nature or just in your neighborhood, can help reduce stress and prevent depression.

  • Activity can also help improve your sleep. It is said that 8 hours of sleep is optimum.

  • As well as aerobic exercise which keeps the heart strong, we must keep our muscles strong by doing strength training at least 2 times a week. This means lifting some weights or doing pushups and yoga to build strength in our muscles.

  • An active lifestyle helps the immune system become stronger and therefore helps the body fight diseases such as diabetes and infections.

  • Want to do activities you enjoy? Then play tennis, jump rope, go swimming, ride your bike or go for a run. As long as the body is in a state of motion and the muscles are being activated your body will benefit.
