These are some quick-fire tips to help you in an interview:

• Make sure you have researched the company and the position you are applying for before the interview.

• Arrive 15 minutes early. Anything more and you will make the interviewer uncomfortable thinking he has to rush to meet with you.

• Look Smart by dressing in business clothes. Make sure you wear a suit for men and are clean and fresh. For ladies, make sure your outfit does not attract too much attention.

• Make eye contact and maintain eye contact. You want to show you are focused on the other person.

• Sit up straight and don't cross your arms. This gesture is known to come across as unfriendly and guarded.

• Speak up enough so you can be heard. For those shy interviewees, practice speaking clearly and concisely.

• Don't talk fast. Take your time to answer questions.

• Be genuine. Show your true enthusiasm for the company and the position you are applying for.

• Send a follow up email to thank the interviewee for their time and say how much you enjoyed meeting them.
